In 1968, a small group of Christians concerned that there should be a church on the developing Holywell estate started the work, initially meeting in the local school. In the early 1980s, a piece of land next to the school was bought, and after construction the church moved into purpose-built premises in 1985.
We are an independent church and do not belong to a denomination. We are evangelical in our ministry and witness and enjoy close ties with other churches in the area. The regular Sunday congregation is up to 180 in the morning and 60 in the evening and covers a wide range of ages, backgrounds, nationalities and includes a good number of students from the UK and overseas. In January 2010 Joseph Pettitt became minister of the church to work along side the current leadership team.
Our meetings are attended by all ages – children and young people, students, families, older folk, and many others. There is a good mix of people from the local area and also overseas.
Whatever your background we invite you to join with us to worship God.
